  • Class Reunions

    I have been away from here for a little over a week although it feels like even longer than that. The funny part is that I truly have been without an Internet connection for this entire time. That sure doesn’t happen often anymore. Either the WIFI signal was out or the dial-up wasn’t working or something or other. I have been traveling to the Midwest, specifically Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend one of my high school reunions (the number of which I will leave out).

  • In the News

    I have cold. More than that, I have a bad cold, complete with laryngitis and the feeling, as my mum has always said, of “the utter lack of cheer”. My having laryngitis means that I can’t talk which is one of the things I do on a regular basis. Oddly, not being able to talk also makes it difficult for me to write. As I write I tend to speak out loud to nobody in particular. It helps me focus. Focus isn’t happening today. Mrs. Grass’s chicken soup is, as it has been every time I have been sick since I was a child.

  • Bristol Palin Gives Birth

    There was a very small piece in People magazine this week announcing that Bristol Palin, the 18-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin had given birth to a boy. The Palin’s have expressed that the birth is a private family matter and rightly so. I wouldn’t even talk about it except that peripherally, I became a bit involved.
